New Motion Sensor: Waiting for wakeup - not configured

Recommended Posts

So I finally got 'round to getting some fibaro door/window sensors and motions sensors. The door sensors were a pain to include but seem to work well. The motion sensors were a breeze to include, and also seem to work well, but the motion sensors' status are "Waiting for wakeup" while the temp and lux sensors' status are "Not configured". I keep tripple clicking the B-button, and I have tried both "Reconfigure device" and "Reload parameters" (which does not do anything). As said, they seem to work fine, but I cannot change parameters. When I, e.g. try to reduce the intensity of the LED signalling motion detection, my saved value is rembered as "Last set value" but the default value is still highlighted and the radiobox is ticked.

I was hoping this would autoresolve after a day or two, but alas! Any ideas?

Have you woke up devices immediately after inclusion? Can you see device wake up in the interface?

    1. I thought I did. I triple clicked the B-button immediately after inclusion. Mind you, I was including several sensors consecutively, and I may have been too quick with the B-button.

    2. I have looked for something signalling device wakeup in the interface, but I haven't found anything. If present, where should it be?

Waking up devices in direct range of controller after inclusion is crucial to end process of adding a device. Can you re-include one sensor and wake it up in that way?

Also waking up device should be visible in log field of Motion Sensor. After changing parameters wake up is necessary, you should see that frames are being send on the top of web page.

did u try a factory reset on the devices that is not working properly ?

    Thanks for the replies!

I believe this has been resolved.

I had some trouble factory resetting the sensors, so instead I tried a wakeup (triple click B-button) while the device was sitting directly on top of the Home Center. That did it for all the Motion Sensors. This triggered masses of configuration, the above mentioned statuses disappered, and the sensors can now be woken up by triple clicking at a distance.

I may have done either of two things wrong: 1. I included other devices before the Home Center was done configuring the first, or 2. I may not have been as near the Home Center as necessary when performing the inital wake-up.
