Flood Sensor Contact Wire

Hi

I was reading the manual for the Fibaro Flood Sensor and noticed that in Fig.3, it says the "Sens 1" and "Sens 2" contact can be connected or extended with a wire. Any further explanation on what type of wire is this. Is it just any electrical wire ? and Does it have to be two wires connected to both Sens 1 and Sens 2 respectively at the same time ?

I was told by fibaro that any wire will work, but i opted for these for aesthetics
