Hi, I'm after a solar controller for the solar water system on the house. Has anyone given this a go to control the water and ac element if top up is required.

Hi Mark,

HC2 could manage it I'd be pretty sure, the drawback for us (AU/NZ) is finding thermostats and valves that are Zwave at the right frequency. There's not a lot of variety in hardware, so you are limited with what you can do south of Europe ! It would probably only be a modification of some existing scripts here on the forum that is currently used for lighting or heating. if you can get data in/data out, you just need to be creative in your thinking

What about finding a temp sensor with a 10v output and connecting it to the input of a binary sensor or RGBW. Then associate this to a Fibaro relay which would control a 24v valve

Once it gets below a certain temp it would then open the valve via a scene and then close valve to stop circulation via another scene

fat, analogue sensore can not be used with UBS.

markdyer, if you can closely describe your setup, I will try to find a solution.
