I'm using a RPi B+ with a Logitech c270 camera which works perfectly in HC2 (actually way better than my Zavio F1105 and Foscam clone). The RPi runs a "motion" motion detection daemon and can perform any action when motion is detected like starting alarms or switching lights on or off. I send movies and snapshots to a server to be able to check later what happened even if the camera is stolen.
