Where did people learn LUA?

Hi coming from an electrical installation background LUA and programming is all new to me but im getting there slowly. I'm just interested where other people learned or picked it up and any hints and tips for learning

Mostly learnt by using old C/Pike/python coding and look around the code of other people.

Also google help when looking for some syntax

Just browsing through scripts to begin with. Then as you learn the basic structure it is easier to understand and comprehend more advanced code.
