Hi chinastar89, glad to have you in our community! I am afraid I do not rally understand you try to achieve. If you are new to LUA you should start with something simple, like controlling modules.

Hi!

What are you trying to do? What error do you get?

I have the same virtual device and it works for me (set brightness of Philips Hue bulb).

chinastar89, do you mean that you do not see place to write your code? I assume you have HC2, since HCL does not have LUA. First add a button to your device - tick the check box next to single button image and add it. Now save. Go to advanced tab of your virtual device. Scroll down and you will see place to write your code in.

And if you want to learn more about Lua, Start with creating block scenes and switch to the Lua view. You then see what it's doing.
