Fibaro Smoke sensor and carbon monoxyd + EN14604

Hi Fibaro!

I live in France and smoke sensors will be compulsory starting the 8 of march 2015.

I have 4 sensors to buy (1 per floor).

I'm actually hesitating between Fibaro FGSS and Nest protect.

- According to french laws, a smoke sensors is legal only if it respects the EN14604 norm, so that insurances only thrust this norm (you have to give the manufacturer's technical sheet to prove that the smoke sensor is ok with this norm). So my question is, will Fibaro give the light modification it needs to FGSS in accordance to get the EN14604? (as Nest protect is EN14604 compliant)

- I need monoxyd sensors too. As you already have the case for a smoke sensor, I suppose that it's easier to develop and produce a monoxyd sensor, am I right and will you produce it?

Thanks Fibaro team!

magic_281, we are in process of certifying our product for this standard, it should be ready till beginning of 2015. All devices bought past certification date will be considered as sufficient in the light of the new French law. CO sensor is still in developing stage, hence no precise timeline can be given.

Interested in a Smoke+CO detector/sensor. If possible, include CNG/LNG (natural gas) detection.
