We are working on a little "alarm project" for the house.

Here are the things we have so far:

1 Vision Security ZM1602 Siren

3 Outdoor Camaras (Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I)

3 Fibaro Motion sensors

1 Fibaro FGBS-001 Z-Wave Universal binary sensor

1 Key switch ( like this

Here's how we thought about making the project work

When the key switch is activated the alarm system is activated:

1) It activates the camera’s auto record function if there’s movement. ( HTTP get request or post)

2) It activates the motion sensors

- If the motion sensors is breached the alarm will go off.

When the key is key switch is off:

1) Deactivates the camera’s auto record function if there’s movement.

2) It deactivates the motion sensors (alarm function)

You think this would be possible?

Maybe someone has a better idea for the project

I know the basic lua functions, but need help a little help to get started. Maybe someone has a project similar to this one

If your camera settings can be modified with HTTP request it should work. What do you have connected to your key switch? Is it UBS?

According to the manual we should be able to control the motion detection enable/disable function with a http call.

I would like to use the Fibaro Binary sensor to set the alarm status, using a global varible, if that would be possible.

clausdk, if you want to use UBS, just create a scene to arm/disarm motion sensors if it changes status to "1" or "0". No global variable needed.

clausdk. I have a similar setup as you, and I cant figure out how to activate my cameras. Right now I am trying with a virtual device and http script, unfortunately without success. Did you find a way to activate/deactivate the motion detection in your cameras?
