Hi, How warm/hot should the dimmers be when not in use. I have my first installed dimmer which when i went to check was really quite warm, more then enough for me to be concerned. It was turned off of at least 12hours and has a single dimmable 27w led bulb attached.

Hi Mark the chances are that your led bulb requires trailing edge dimming. The Fibaro dimmer is leading edge.If it is trailing edge led then you need to remove it as it may cause the dimmer to fail. I use megaman leds there one of a few leds thats leading edge

Thanks, The led bulb driver says: Constant Current Source.. I'll pull the fuse until I understand better

markdyer, driver of LED should be designated to leading-edge dimmers to make sure it will not make module to fail.

markdyer, could be a faulty dimmer.

I had one that became so hot that even the switch in front of it on the wall became warm.

Even without load the dimmer would heat up. I sent mine in for a replacement.

The replacement dimmer worked as expected.

Pop a normal filament lamp in for test purposes. If it is still getting very warm then you know you have a faulty dimmer
