One thing to check is if your TV is a recent one, because the plugin is for models that support a certain version of UPnP. I have a UE40B8000 which is from around 2009, which doesn't have the required UPnP version for the plugin to work.

The IP scan is based on the MAC address range that is known for Samsung TV's. I think you can set it manually? Your TV configuration should contain the address. Or use the Fing App to scan your network and look it up.

Since I don't have a compatible display I cannot really test the plugin.

Thanks HansS for your reply, I know how to find the IP of TV, but in the plugin window in HC2 when I check the IP of TV by making search plugin can't find any IP.

I have a UN40H4203AF TV which is new and lunched in 2014, but I can't find the UPnP setting in the TV, what I have to do to know if my TV have this feature and how to enable HC2 to control TV from TV settings?

    Thanks in advance

    I had the same problem.

Just fill in the IP manually.

I think they changed the whole authorisation model. If I connect a Android device to the TV, I simply get a msg on the screen to allow the device.

There's another topic on this forum from someone who created a virtual device to remote control newer Samsung TV's. He describes some extra setup bits to get the virtual device to work. You can read about it here:

Maybe you have to fiddle with the TV settings to allow the HC2 to connect?

Again, I can't test because my TV uses older protocols.

Can not connect to my Samsung 58" UE58H5204XXE "2014"

Hc2 do not find ip adress / Actually it find no adress at all on the network.

Do not help to add it it manually either.
