Scene not running as expected

Hi,

I have a solar water heater, where I have a 2kw resistor for those days without sun. Also have a tamp probe on it. I have added a 3kw switch and a UBS to read the temperature. All is working fine.

However, I tried to create a scene unsing the blocks (LUA coding is still a bit... difficult!

IF, water temperature <40C AND if resistor is off AND door is opened, THEN send push notifications.

I've attached the scene.

The problem is that as soon as I press "Run", I immediately get a notification, even if the door isn't opened. What can I be doing wrong?

Hi Rui,

Try changing "Opened" to "Breached" and remove the 1 from the the green box.

See if that fixes it.

Any ideas? I deleted and redid the scene, but it just doesn't work. It's kind of frustrating that such a simple thing isn't working...

rtripa, pressing run with blocks will always trigger the scene despite any conditions. You must convert it to LUA and modify it or simply save it and wait for conditions to be met.
