Any ideas how to detect how long a switch has been pushed?

I use a script to detect single, double and triple clicks but I want to get more functions in that switch.

Thanks for any inputs.

No easy way to do this, since we do not have information from switch itself, just state of relay. Maybe a loop with counter? Just a loose thought.
