How to solve problems with dead devices and z-wave routing !

Question

Posted

To whom it may concern at Fibaro,

I have found very interesting post on Vera forum where someone from Vera claims that there is a serious bug in firmware software on z-wave chip of the controller. According to this post that problem affects all controllers and it's required to update the firmware to get it solved. As it's been published in 2011 I'm not sure if it's still an issue but when you read it it gives the impression that it may still apply to HC2.

I would be very interested in Fibaro opinion on that !!!

richo, this topic is a little outdated, in current firmware there are no bugs like that. In present Z-wave network, controller first tries to route message through pre-defined devices, in case of failure it searches for alternative paths and uses one of them.

    j.nowacki,

Thanks for the info. Do you mean that all HC2 boxes are up to date with the z-wave routing?

I have bought mine in 2012 and just want to be sure.

richo, that is right, no bugs like that were detected in HC2
