Aeon Smart Switch, parameter

diderik

Question

OK, so I figured this out, I believe.

The bottom line is that the Aeon Smart Switch Gen 5 works well with the HCL. The trouble I had with changing parameters, was that the reseller linked to the manual of a newer version of this module on which the parameter in question was available for changing...

I thought I'd test an Aeon Smart Switch. (On the box it even says Gen 5.)

It includes without problems to the HCL, and after a while power measurements show up. No problems there!

I want to change a parameter, though. Similar to the Fibaro Wall Plug, it has some sort of LED that I want to turn off. For that I need to set paramter 81 to 1. I cannot find any info on how to to do this manually in the Home Center. It seems easy enough, though. But what is the difference between data type 1d, 2d and 4d? According to A. Socha:

"1d -> value 0-255

2d -> value 0-65535

4d -> value 0-16777215"

When I try to set the parameter as 1 (using 1d), the actual set value ends up as '1075995100', and the LED stays on. Anyone done something similar?

Somebody, please! How do you correctly change a parameter for a non-fibaro module?

This is what I did, and some screenshots of the unsuccesful process...

Looks promising, but...
