Dear Fibaro,

past week suddenly one of my smoke detectors went dead without a warning.

first i wake up the dead node, seems ok again but happens 3 times.

also the battery seems to be low.

Try to reconfigure etc. no luck.

New battery and everything went up and running again.

question:

why i wont get a warning that the battery is low, or off.

Why this one is low, and a other smoke detector is full , no problems.

what things can i do to give you the information you need to solve this issue ??

I got 2 smoke detectors, both with default value.

one downstairs near HM2 (wich got the problem) other up stairs.

both with in range of 5-7 meters of HC2.

running 3.590, and both where included new some months ago.

this is the safety of my house and i take it very seriously.

hope i can help to give the information you want, and fibaro will help that this wont happen again.

D-Vine, battery status notification can be enabled in configuration of every device, is it ticked in your Sensor?

To monitor dead devices, you can set up a scene to send you message when device is dead and cannot be waken-up.

Battery drain may have multiple reasons, is communication between the given sensor and controller visible when you wake it up? Does it give any audible signals every once in a while?

I have notification on, but didn't receive something.

When i had dead node, i click it and then went visible again. after few hours, 1 day dead.

With the old/ original battery i had the beebs once in a while.

or big alarm beebs, spontaneously in mid night.

Helped to take sensitivity on high level, only that is no good in my opinion.

test the smoke detector with REF 8 Aerosol (official test gas) and it's realy slow.. to slow when setting on sensitivity on 3

deleted the smoke detector, new battery , include and put it on like default.

went okay for few weeks, now again problems, when i looked up now, the smoke detector says value lux instead of degrees.

Now i did a reload parameters and reconfigure device.

Temperature status is ok again. but after configuration smoke detectors came back in alarm status

Strange thing is that the other smoke detector never give a problem.

can you give me a status of all parameters that should be stable so i can test it ?

is my smoke detector still okay ?

waited hole night smoke detector went back to normal state.

Can i help to give log , or other information to help.

The behavior of this thing is really strange

is the new version on the new year better with smoke detectors ?

I don't mind now for the few weeks to wait. in mid January ?
