Help....weird goings on with HC2 Devices/Events!!

Question

Posted

Hi All,

Apart from the Motion Sensors my 3.590 system is about as stable as it gets (or was). I updated the iOS apps a week or so ago and have found various bugs in them namely:

iPad 1.30 -> upgrade to 1.41

iPhone 2.2 -> upgrade to 2.3.2

iPhone

1) Icons don't always show actual state of devices e.g. something can be off but still be on. Or something on but still shown as Off! This is a problem as you cannot rely on device states so whats the point!!

2) Something I liked disappeared.....when you 'swipe' to turn off a light it used to show a 'bulb' going off and say 'Light Off' or 'Off' but now that's disappeared and you just get the bulb....why? That was a good thing!!!!!! Surely it doesn't add to processing and gives user info!

3) Icons have a tendancy to flash after turning off. E.g. before when you turned a light off the icon would go from ON to OFF. Now it goes OFF then back to ON quickly and then to OFF again. Really annoying as, at the start, I kept double-tapping!

Overall preferred 2.2!

iPad

Mostly good to be honest. Like the 'flash-style' graphics etc. Only issues are:

1) As above things are ON when they're OFF and vice-versa. This is, again, major issue as you cannot rely on things actually being on or off and have to check!

STILL, the biggest problem ever is this:

--------------------------------------------

Whether it's related or not I don't know (but it never did it before) but in the last four days I've had really weird goings on. Lights, in groups, turn on without being coded or user input to go on, you don't see any events showing them going on. Other devices also turn On unasked. All the times these happen they happen, in clusters, at exactly the same time!! So, last night three lights, in three different rooms all came on at the exact same time to 9% dimming level. WTF!!! This is happening at least once a day (usually in evening) and is weirding me out as a) can't control it b) they're not coded or asked to come on c) totally out of the blue d) no events shown in HC2 only the turn off commands e) they happen at exactly the same time.

What's going on? Anyone else had this happen? I've changed nothing at all....apart from rebooting. The only thing that's changed is the iOS updates and, just for a change, motion sensors going from motion sensors to whatever they want to be that day.

Any ideas appreciated, should I go back to previous iOS app versions or?

KR, Dave

    Roller shutter closed window rollers w/o my intervention, move sensor got armed even though arming in device was disabled, wall plug turned off always a few minutes after my wife has turned it on ...

    WP got sorted out through hard reseting and new inclusion. Roller shutter got quiet on it's own...for a while.

    My (semi)intelligent house start to live it's own life ...

    Maybe Elon Musk is right - soon humanity will be destroyed by AI and it all starts with Fibaro

    Not sure I'd call Fibaro intelligent....let alone AI. Both of those suggest actually being helpful to one's life.....this is just pure hassle and time/money-wasting!

    Hey ho

    I'm very happy with it and it makes my life easier for sure.

    Hopefully in a few years it'll be an even greater help/improvement in my life.

    Anyway I agree that Fibaro is far from being close to any intelligence ... it's rather some strange form of living that's taken over our houses

    PS

    One of my thermostats started to behave strangely a few days ago. Today I have noticed that "somebody" has changed it's pooling time to 15001225 ...
