FGS211-3KW Relay in a bathroom with light and fan on same sw

Hi all.

Got a bit of a question with the Fibaro relay powering a light and a fan in my bathroom.

The idea is to have a movement sensor in the bathroom that will activate the light and fan.

The only issue is with the existing wiring.

I have tested the connections with my multimeter and one of the cables in the com on the left of the switch are live and one of the cables on L1 are live.

Please see photo attached.

Dont want to blow up the relay.

At the moment, when the light is switched on, the fan and light come on. when the light is switched off, the fan stays on for 4 minutes.

Any one got any ideas.

Thanks,

Hal

Hallamnet, Hi, i can't help you with the wiring, but I have a 2 x 1.5kW relay in my main bathroom for light and exhaust. Exhaust I have on timer, and also active for xx minutes if humidity from the aeotec humidity sensor tells it it is getting humid, ( same in ensuite and walk in robe ) light is manually operated, except when the house is on 'night duty', then it is automated to illuminate the bathroom automagically. I'll get around to changing it to dimmer for the night duty and having it come on at 10% or similar as it is a bit blinding, and just running exhaust on the relay. I use a 3kW relay for the towel rail that is activated on working days 1/2 hour before we get up if the temp is below a setpoint

    Hi Alandee.

    Thanks for the reply.

Good idea with the humidity sensors! I might give that a go:)

Managed to get it installed but only controlling the light.

Looks like I will have to get another relay for the fan.

I will keep you updated on how I get on.

    Hi again.

Just to let you all know that I have now got 2 relays working; 1 for a light and 1 for an extractor fan and all is working AOK.

I was thinking to have them both on the same relay but it makes sense to have them separate so when you have been to the toilet or it very steamy from a shower or bath, the light goes off and the fan stays on for 5 mins or more.

All is well and working like a charm.

I have included the scripts below.
