Manual Z-wave routing for better signal communication

Question

Posted

Transfer Failed! Something that we all hate to see.

As we know that zwave creates a mesh network and in HC2 it is created automatically.

What I really want to know that if there is a possibility to manually hop the signal.

I have a few relays, roller shutters and dimmers in room 'A' that are unable to contact with HC2 directly. However, I have a set of relay and dimmer which is in room 'B' which is adjacent to room 'A' where the signal it transmitted successfully. I wonder why is it not hopping the signal. I have tried configuring the Z-wave network several times but still no luck.

Any solutions to this problem?

geeklabs, routing table cannot be updated manually. Routes are chosen basing on time of response using different routes. You can re-build Z-wave network to establish new communication routes with unreachable node.

    How do I rebuild Z-wave network? How is it different from re-configuring all devices?

    geeklabs, it depends on software you are using, in v4 there is proper option for that in configuration, on v3 you need to run a lua command to do that.

    It really helps a lot!

    dawiinci, Or if you got 4.030 you can do that by GUI

    Configuration -> Z-Wave network -> mesh reconfiguration

    I updated the firmware and performed "Mesh Reconfig" and non of the devices worked. I waited for about 18 hours and then finally restarted the HC2. After restart still the same old "Transfer Failed"

    And then I clicked on Reconfigure all devices and now nothing works.
