Using new XBMC plugin... and 4.x version

Question

Posted

The thing it´s quite simple...

There is two new plugins for the 4.x version really cool. Samsung TV and XBMC...

But my problem, it´s that TV is not wake on LAN... if it´s ON, I can control it with this HC2 plugin.. .but if it´s OFF, no way...

BUT... as I own a Raspberry pi with XBMC connected to the TV with HDMI with the capability to send commands through it... you can turn on the TV. But I don´t know how to create something into HC2 that send that command and turn on the TV , or even set the desire input of the TV using a script.

Imagine a scene for watching a "Family movie". That scene, could turn on the TV, then set the input of the raspberry and go to the "Family movie" folder... , while the lights turn off

Have u tried using the XBMC plugin made by Shad? That one has far more options. I myself use a global cache infrared device to control both my Panasonic TV and Roku. Works quite nice.

This one. It can also control lights depending on play, pause, stop. Quite nice! There's a tutorial on the first page.
