I want my motion sensor to be active ( in event ) only when it armed.

Is there other way around day and night mode ?

My office is very lively and it generate many event in the event window ( from 10+ motion sensors it generate more than 1000+ events a day ).

It make a hard time to monitor event when I look back to find specific event in the old day.

Plus it can be a burden on battery life.

If your Motion Sensor is Fibaro Eye one then you can turn it off during day (one of it's parameters; before 20 if mind serves me right).

If it's something else then 'relatively' easy. Create a global variable that is either DAY or NIGHT. You can do this via two easy scenes or however you want. Then you'll need to write a LUA scene that basically says a) if it's DAY then Disarm the sensor or b) abort. Then every time the sensor is 'armed' the scene will catch it and if global is DAY it will turn it off again.

Write it and test it, that's the only way....but the Fibaro eye motion sensor does save you the hassle of the code. May be an easier way of course but it doesn't immediately spring to mind.
