String variables

Question

Posted

If I want to store a string, is there any way to do this in Fibaro?

Or do I have to use an additional server for that extremely complex functionality?

You can store string in gloval variable but with a limit on the length of the text string. More possibilities if you use json.decode before

Ah ok, but you can't set a value from the variables panel though?

Exactly - and if you hit save on the variables panel it will erase your string variables.
