I'm wondering what the customers voice is. Please participate to this poll.

Great idea. I guess this is dedicated to the STABLE Version 4.030. Will participate when updating for myself.

Problem is that unless number of submission is close to number of upgrades it tells us nothing.

We know for some it works and some it does not but let's face it if you are one of the lucky ones you are no longer wasting time on the forum. It is only those that it does not work for that will be spending time here.

That's a common excuse, "you only hear about the unhappy users on the forums".

When you read about all the bugs in the Fibaro firmware, is it really likely that the majority of other users have a totally smooth experience?

For example, is the zwave engine completely broken for some users, while completely flawless for others? No, if it's broken, it's BROKEN.

Is the long time promised functionality is missing for some users, while existing for others? No, if it's missing, it's MISSING.

At least it shows that there are users without major problems which is more than I expected at first.

I think those are the same users that are leaving comments in the update thread like "everything working flawless here, apart from rgbw still not working and ..." In my opinion, thats NOT "no major problems". but even if all of these genuinely are having NO problems, there are FAR too many problems on FAR too many users to call this rubbish "stable".

I can see traces of great features in v4.030 - however, current version "stable v4.030" is exactly everything except stable. Fix what is and has been for a very long time broken, then Fibaro might start do new stuff.

However v.4.030 is a perfect example of an early beta testing code - it has NOTHING to do in a production environment!

I haven't had any stability issues on 2 different HC2's and 4.0.30 feels faster than 4.0.24 to me.

It's just a beta version for the CES Las Vegas. I go back to 3.6.

Fibaro does not respect its customer...

Many advertisements , many waiting for concretization and now many bugs , many people disappointed , and soon a disappointing brand. Moderator of the forum, members of the support team, please send the comment to the CEO and his business team who are probably the cause of it all.

I cannot second that. After upgrading from a stable version to a stable one again (3.590/3.600 -> 4.030) using only Fibaro sensors it just works. Yes, there are some minor open questions but in general I am happy with 4.030. Most important now how fast a 4.031 or so will come to help other users.

But I can not see that the Z-Wave engine is not working at all. It works at least for me. Quite flawless.

    Best regards

As I have always said and repeated, in general, the 4030 version works well. But to know if they find a solution with regard to Minimote,

    the support is absconding.

According to Fibaro 4.031 is coming soon. (not kidding)

If the next update is really coming soon and stabilizes many other HCs and Fibaro will convince the users that there is a further force to serve the customers well, I'm sure that the negative flows will be significantly reduced. Keep fingers crossed that everything will work.

4.031 was just released, proper thread was created in important topics.

The upgrade to version 4 is a major upgrade. The Fibaro team did a lot of work to rewrite the Z-Wave engine. Besides that they added a lot of new features.

I did the upgrade to the new version. Because I didn't want any conversion errors I started with a recovery to a fresh system. Then I did the upgrades and when I was on version 4.030 I started adding my devices again. I didn't have any major problems. In my case there are some minor bugs (wrong label, no parameters on door sensor) but the system is working very stable. I had a few questions for the support team and they respond very fast. The block scene editor is much better, many of my old lua scenes are now possible in the block scenes.

If you don't want to take any risks, just don't upgrade to the first few releases of such a major upgrade. Give them some time to perfect their system.

The major change of the Z-Wave engine is giving us a system that is ready for the future.

Altough there are thousands of HC2 users it's weird that just a few users responding to the poll.

Did they all installed v.4.030 without problems or are they waiting for a stable version ?

    A mystery to me !!

j.nowacki, I presume you can seen in some kind of back-end system how many HC2 are currently running the V4 stable system. Are you willing to share the numbers with us?

If known this can give some insight in the details.
