Multiple devices in block scene

I am wondering, is it not possible to select multiple devices under arm/disamr in block scene programming anymore?

Before i could select:

PIR detectors,Door sensors, Water alarms etc. all in one block. now it is choosing only one category. do you guys have the same or is it a 4.030 bug?

pathduck, no that is not a bug. Now we sort device by type because other command got sensor and other got a switch or dimmer

So if i want to turn off all devices in a scene i have to add them multiple times by category?

I find this strange and an unnecessary time consumer.

but what if i have items in that room i do not want to turn off? or If i want to partly arm or disarm devices?

This is a small issue, but in my mind it is a step back, i understand the way it is done but the drop down list should have an option to select all devices

pathduck, then you need do a group of switch, group of dimmers. Be live me now you know what action you should set up before you was not idea And i dont think that is a big problem to add extra 1 block more

I cannot edit the list of selected devices. the cursor "jumps away" each time I click on the device group. Even in block scences written in V4.03.

Is this a bug or a feature?

julexmon, you got converted block scene. We changed mechanism so you need create new one scene (impossible to do back compatibility to edit block scenes from version 3.x)

I have learned a couple of new things with groups and rooms so it is not too bad. Thanks for the support.

But can i select a group like "Lights" and select upon all lights? Instead of having them grouped into dimmer, switches etc. Can it be done?

KristianO, we never got group lights in block scenes you can report that on bugzilla as a improvement

I have now tried to create the scene in groups. I cannot believe how difficult you have made it. It is not possible to group all units defined as ligts. I end up with a huge scene. You should be able to to like before where you could select all devices and tick off on all devises you want to control. I understand the need to separate arm/disarm and on/off in two lists.

It takes 10 seconds to select everything you want to operate from one list. it takes 10-15 minutes to create a scene the new way, extremely unnecessary.

If i want to turn off a room like you suggested it will still turn of wall plugs defined to always stay on, like fridge and freezer so this is not an option.
