Other than the V4 software for HC2 and the commotion it created, what else is new from Fibaro at CES2015. Can someone update on this.

Posted

sdh, we presented mostly capabilities of our system. Regarding new devices, the next revision of US Wall Plug was presented. It has two separately controlled relays and two USB ports for charging your smartphones/tablets. It also monitors power usage and has a display build-in.

are there any details on the intercom? Is it still coming? Any specifications or images?

Posted

stevenvd, it is coming, however it was not a part of CES presentation, works are still in progress, as it was declared for the 2nd half of 2015.

We should start a swedish CES so we can get a working wall plug as well :/

J.Nowacki:

Does that mean it will be released in 2015? Definitely?!

All being well, and stable release, I will buy at least 1-2. What is likely UK price?

Are the relay and dimmer modules getting real power and energy metering anytime soon. This is one area where Fibaro is behind competition in my opinion.

AIW, this particular device is designed to US market exclusively, European plugs will stay in the current shape so far.

sdh we plan to make it available for all devices, but no details for now, sorry.

May I humbly take the opportunity to remind you that the current shape is that they're banned from the marked and that we're many users who have waited forever with no sign of improvement?

goran, they were banned only form sales in Sweden and we our doing our best to bring them back. We even send them to some voluntary tests regarding safety of sockets.

For us living in sweden, this is a big thing. We no longer can´t by wall plugs, dimmers, relay switch, roller shutter..

The wall plug has also been banned from sales, and recalled in Norway:

We didn't even get the wall plugs down here in Australia/NZ, but it's a pretty small market I suppose ..

But what use has the Panic Button?

It is useful for the elderly in an emergency?
