These are pretty expensive, especially Sonos (Which i know are very good) but is there any other systems that are worth spending less money on?

I like the Samsung WAM system appearance but they are also quite expensive..

LG has just released a multiroom system which looks ok, but then again, even if they are the least expensive ones that i have seen so far, it wont get cheap adding ~5 speakers + control switch.

Any other systems that are worth looking into?

Hello

I use Sonos Connect with a Lexicon DD-8 multichannel amp. The perfect solution would be to add an Audio Matrix Switch to the system to get more zones. But I have not found anyone that are cheaper then continue with Sonos Connect for each zone you want.

Have you looked in to this system?

They have the Lync 6 and 12 which is a Matrix Switch. Then you can have one source input and route it to any amp output you want. But for me it is cheapest to continue with more Sonos Connect.

NuVo Multiroom. In my opinion in this system you have the best quality.

I know Sonos is a bit more expensive,,, but.

Is all done and greatly so.

It works with HC2 directly (no time needed to code stuff)

    Is rock solid.

For me i thought about building amps i each room and speakers and all that comes with it but in the end sonos is not so expensive after all including time, parts, coding, ease of use and so on.

That is if you value your time that is.

I tested with 1 Play1 in a room and extended from there and now have 3 play 1 and Connect Amp for the living room with a sub.

And 1 play1 easy fills a room with music.

Its quick, easy and hassle free, but if you like to tinker then there might be a different story.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks for your input.

I was hoping someone had tried the Samsung system.

I really like their triangular speaker shapes to mount them in rooms.

Right now im probably going for Sonos..

Like Speedy says, everything is already implemented for support in HC2 and it is a great system..

Sonos is cheapest/best solution that isnt wired

Wired ones such as Nuvo etc etc will cost a lot more plus infrastructure.

Trust me I built my house and looked into every possibility on the market!

    Hello,

Does someone knows if there are any receivers 5.1 or 7.1 from Denon, Yamaha, or any other brand that can be directly integrated with HC2, without programming it?

    Thank you

Denon and Yamaha, Denon has plugin and Yamaha has a very good Virtual Device.

Soo.. I decided for Samsung Shape since i got really good prices for some M7 and M5 Speakers and a hub.

So far i havent started to try to integrate them with HC2 yet.

Samsung  Smartthings will control their audio system and the new TV's will have the hub built in. Makes Fibaro look very expensive.

Guys what do you think about this device?

This video shows how it works:

But I guess there is no open API for such devices.

I also found this, but it allows just to use DLNA, so it could be controlled by Fibaro HC2 (no possiblity to play same song on several speakers at same time):

    Hey,

that looks good but you can do the same thing with Rocki play and that has plugin for Fibaro. I use it for radios mostly but you can play some playlists if you have the stream to them. With Fibaro, you can not start multiroom currently, but if you use BubbleUpnP you can do that. But I believe they will add this function to api sooner or later.
