yeah nope... thats where i thought it should be .. instead recovered, deleted everything, reset to factory defaults, currently on the merrygoround think it's updating at the moment to 3.6, so from there I should be able to restore a backup I think .. but instead I might delete all the backups I have and start from scratch

OK, so now I'm on 4.031 and I cannot add any devices on a clean new fresh install .. anyone ?

Deleted the device ( even though there was nothing added yet, completely fresh install, and then re added, so exclude then include worked .. this cannot be normal or expected behavior ? or is it ?? on a fresh clean reset to factory default box ???

oh, well, at least i have a method now ..

if I understand correctly what you did then it makes perfect sense.

This is normal behaviour and actually is on the side of the devices.

inclusion / exclusion is a two-way pairing. so if you include, both the HC2 and the device will have it in their memory. If you reset the HC2, the memory on the HC2 might be deleted, but the device will still be "paired" to the HC2 that won't remember about it.

Now you'll have to exclude the device (this can be done by ANY controller, not only the previously paired one) before you can include it again.

or reset the device; this also clears the memory (of the device) and makes it ready for include again

After a reset you have to do the following steps:

    - Remove the device from the HC2

    - Add the device to the HC2

Look at the note in the operating manual.

Thanks, yeah, I actually did, but until I removed the "slave" device within hc2 it would not re add.. NVM... I've gotten everything except door sensors working and a few aeotec items and a siren .. And dimmer switches that won't re associate .. But all good..
