TKB wall plugs not reporting status

Question

Posted

Hi all

I have noticed my TKB wall plugs do not report their status to my HC2 when they are triggered from another device.

I have two TKB plugs associated to two Fibaro dimmers on Group 2... when I click the second switch on the dimmers, the plugs turn on/off but their status does not change in the web interface or Android app. If I press the button on the wall plug, or use the web interface/app, or trigger them with a scene, the status updates fine.

It's annoying not to be able to trust the software to tell me if the light is on or not. One of my plugs is operating a light in an outside space, so to make sure the light is off I have to go outside or cycle the power off-on-off on the app.

Is this normal? Is there any way to make them always report their status?

I think it has to with polling... But I am guessing here. Polling is disabled in V4. That could explain de difference... You can help other users by entering this info + exact product number & firmware on

qedes, you should make sure that controller is in one of the association groups of your plug. I can check it if you want, please PM with credentials for remote access or other form of remote connection (forwarding ports or teamviewer).

j.nowacki, do you mean that device "1" (the HC2) is in the association groups? Device "1" already shows up in all the groups, but the problem is still there.

When the 4.030 "stable release" came out, I stupidly upgraded. Many of my devices stopped working, and I could not remove any devices to try re-adding them. I also couldn't recover or downgrade. Fibaro tech support were able to get me back to 3.600 and I have recovered an old backup, but some things stopped working. I thought I had finally fixed everything but perhaps the TKB plug problem is because of this upgrade? I have had the plugs a while and I never noticed that they didn't report status before now.

You could, as a workaround, enable scene activation on your dimmers, and control the light that way. I am i n no way defending the buggy HC2 software, just trying to work around all the /#%"/&%/&!%/&" broken stuff
