Anyone would think you were worried about people actually reading the forum....unless you allow them to??!

Really?????

Probably it's just for controlling search engine visibility by blocking the forum from non-users.

Too bad, because it could have been done just by using robots.txt.

Too bad also because only working search for this forum was google. Now no one will ever find the tips and tricks they would want to find.

Or anything bad about Fibaro software??

Are am I just being so cynical.....no I'm not. Funny how it happens now.

Thing is I couldn't honestly care, though I didn't realise freedom of speech and expression was something that should be password protected. How our ancestors must be so happy.

It just hacks me off that I have to log in....constantly.

Well, search engines finds all the crap from here (As all the good posts), so that's the point I guess. Which is quite sad.

    e) propagation of advertising in any form, including covert advertising, without the Service Provider's prior consent. The restriction does not concern information about products or services provided for information purposes in connection to the subject of a given thread;

    f) publishing posts lacking content on the subject, containing harmful advice, advice irrelevant to the problem in question, and the publishing of identical posts in sequence or repeating the information previously included in the discussion.

No more talking about Ind*** and HomeS*** or do*cz

Evidently did not care about the freedom of expression and speech. We are taking care to erase everything that speaks of the failure of 4.0 because it definitely hurt the company's image. And justifying this as vulgar content. I agree delete promotional content in the forum unauthorized. But I have seen that there is also mentioned in the regulation lack of respect. On this I reply: even ignore a customer if his questions are not "comfortable" is lack of respect.

Its a lack of respect to those who fought and died for freedom of expression tbh. Both where I live, my grandparents and, frankly, Poland. Should be ashamed

Its just one thing after another with Fibaro. Who on earth is their marketing consultant? Yeah, take away users right to say what they want, delete what you don't like to hear blah blah. Yeah, that'll work...two thumbs up! Last time I heard that was a dictatorship.

Anything we've said regarding current 'stable' not true then? I don't know what world you think we inhabit but this wont last long if you carry on. You only get away with it 'cos we're 'enthusiasts'. Mass market you'll just disappear....quickly.

guys before you release all frustration here just have a look at what Mr Nowacki wrote minutes ago. I guess sometimes it is wiser to NOT jumping to conclusions not knowing all facts around the "scandal". I am not saying I am all happy all dancing about the software now - I am not. But the way I read his post is - we are migrating (dont care why, perhaps because of bad posts, who knows? I dont) and closing the forum to registered users is temporary. I may be wrong, but I hope I am not.

    FREEDOM OF SPEECH !

    I'M CHARLIE !

    Posted

    Let's see here...

We are a company specializing in a type of hardware and services that a very VERY small percentage of all internet users utilize..

Pretty much ALL the users that DOES use this kind of services / hardware are very tech savvy.

All of them know how to use a search engine.

All of them will want to know other users experience about a system before purchase.

We'll just block even read access to the user forum for non registered users!

We du this under a previously unannounce "Platform change" that just happens to come after a tusnami of user input ranging from bad to horrible regarding the launch of the latest software for our flagship product.

What could POSSIBLY go wrong? What could that POSSIBLY do to our already small market penetration?

Not convinced that censorship is what it is about. Probably more likely just logging better session tracking for design of new system. Proper number of users including registered users that lurk rather trying to calculate this from IP address and guessing true guest count.

    Censorship would be counterproductive anyway.

If they stop the posting here it will only encourage posting in other places that would potentially contain an unbalanced view. Best to leave it all here so people get the balanced view.

As pointed out would stop people finding the good stuff also.

The English is not my native language. Probably I write the phrases incomprehensible, but what has happened lately is the anger of those who has seen all the work even months go up in smoke. It is easy to misunderstand or doubt about what is happening in the Forum. This coincidence unannounced, to block the forum only to registered, has some dark side. Excuse my mistrust, but lately the forum has become a boxing ring, and in Fibaro know perfectly well why.

We have never censored any of your posts, no matter how harsh they were. Until you follow the rules and do not insult anybody you are good here. However we closed the access due to migration process and some general forum management purposes. This step has nothing to do with censorship, I am very sorry so many of you felt that way. Anybody is free to set up an account here, so no restrictions of your freedom of speech took place.

So, forums will be back open to public access when?

How is it you have time to do this, but not time to sort a the queries/bugs posted? People have been helping you on LOTS of hotfix posts but no time to answer their posts/bugs, or mine, but youve got time to preach to us about self-respect?!

One cut, fair do's, lots of cuts and we wonder how far off death is.

    Really

If I had a cellar of good wine I would stop making bad posts.

Anyway are my posts that bad?

I don't ever seem to get it correct.

The violet system brigade claim I am a brown nosey but everyone else thinks I criticise too much.

Suppose I must have it fair and even then.

Anyway absolutely I have never had a gift from them.
