fibaro binary sensor scene activation, not working

Recommended Posts

Does anybody have this problem in 4.031 with the binary sensors when trying to make a scene activation?

I am trying to make a 2 x click scene activation on input2, by enabling parameter 14 and also setting input 2 as a momentary switch. I have tried on input 1 also with making the input nc, no, momentary and toggle with no result, nothing happens. Tried the same thing with a dimmer and that one works. This is my lua:

I've added a UBS with one temp sensor. Everything seems to work, except "sceneActivation". "Soft reconfigure device" sometimes helps (e.g. for dimmers) but not for the UBS.

I reported it as

As I said in another thread, check if there is scene activation property in API. Get Json Viewer addon installed and go to HC_IP/api/devices/idOfDevice and check if there is scene activation visible. If not, perform reconfiguration, first soft and then regular one if needed.

"id":14,"lastSetValue":1, the scene activation shows as being on, also done soft and full reconfig, but still does not work

If my search is correct... there is no "sceneActivation" in your device description. You can try to set parameter 14 to 0 and back to 1. For me it doesn't work now, but it has worked in the past. If you don't have "sceneActivation" in your device description your scene won't trigger...

I had the same, but what worked for me is to take the device ID of the new 'çhild' device that has being created (the fourth/last child device). This one was not there in 3.x, and has received a new ID in the upgrade to 4.x. Using this ID in the header did it for me, works fine.

Nice detective work! I wanted to try that, but yesterday I had already excluded my UBS. I have been testing the last few days and I have excluded/included the device at least 5 times. Today I tried one more time ... and everything is working! Did nothing special! Include, wait 60 seconds until green text "device added". Go to last parameter end set to "1" and bingo! My scene uses the ID of the first button and it reports sceneActivation!

You can reconfigurate whatever you want, soft, hard, regular. But it does not make anny difference. There will be no scene activation.

In my case it is working in 4.0.32.

Use the hidden slave device as the sceneActivator.

    Below my test code.

If you want to find out your sceneActivator ID it is also possible to use all the FGBS device ID's as follows

    Dear Peter,

We have just had a reply from the group in Poland they have said they are aware of this being a problem in version 4 and they are currently working on resolving the issue. However, if you need a work around right now they suggested reverting back to version 3.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

So they are working on it.
