Scene not running as expected

Question

Posted

Hi,

Hi have the following block scene active. The idea is to have the solar panel resistor turned on at 5am, only if the temperature is below 40C, and if we are at home (set via a variable).

The problem is that, as soon as the variable is changed to "at home" and the water is below 40C, the resistor is activated, ignoring the "5am" time.

Maybe I'm missing something?

PS - It is really...Really...REALLY...unbeliavable, the lack of proper documentation on such a complex piece of software.

lukaszpiech is right, you should have unchecked these triggers. Make sure that scene is started with start of HC.

j.nowacki, thank you (and lukaszpiech too). So my question is, what are these for? When we start a scene the ticks are added automatically. Am I missing something?

And last but not the least, where can I find a manual explaining this?

rtripa, documentation for block scenes is not available so far, but some simple tutorials regarding basic setups and scenes will be probably published soon.

These check boxes indicates what will trigger the scene. So every time value form the checked check box will change the code will be executed. You want your scene to be based on time so no need for that.
