Sliders in v4 Virtual Devices - Houston, we have a problem

There is definitely a problem with sliders in VDs (Virtual Device)....

Apart from change in syntax for control of the slider - somehow - the behavior is clearly not acceptable. The attached VD has a label, a button, and a slider.

- If one drags the slider to a position, say about 35, then push the button, it will say which value the slider is at in the label.

- The slider is reset to visually zero within a second or two - but as I wrote push the button, the correct value is shown in the label.

I have also noted that if you send, in version 3.590, a value of "1.20" - it will accept this, however int version 4.031 it will well accept it maybe but nothing shows. This MIGHT be related to the same error as above - I can not say since there are NO debug possibilities in this software (which is a shame).

I have noticed someting similar in version 3.60. However, I my case the slider reverts to about 20% (after a couple of seconds). The value get set OK though.

Complete noob question, um trying to get to grips with sliders/lua and I tag onto any code which helps.

Question I have is... how do you know the device id is 55 (looking at your code...) ?

I dont see a device id for the virtual devices in my gui. I assume there is one but cant see it anywhere.

Well, that is hardcoded. If you replace that number, 55, with this code:
