Windows tablets and Windows Phon

Question

Posted

New(ish) user and mostly delighted, but as a Windows user, I'm pretty disappointed at the lack of device support.

First, per other threads, will there be an official Windows Phone app in the reasonably near future? Will the introduction of Windows universal apps speed this development?

Second, it's almost impossible to use the interface on a Windows touchscreen: creating graphic block scenes is hopeless; you need a mouse and keyboard.

I know WP isn't a widely used platform, but most Windows devices are touchscreen these days and many are convertibles/tablets, while Windows remains the biggest platform of all, so the patchy usability is disappointing. Is there a Windows tablet app on the roadmap?

Fortunately, I've got a range of devices and an old Kindle Fire HDX has found a new lease of life as a control panel, but I'm lucky - most people don't have several devices and platforms to choose from.

Don't feel too excluded, on other devices it's also not easy to create block scenes using the interface, so I would always do this on a desktop anyway.

And none of the apps support creating of scenes anyway.

But I can understand you would want to have a app for normal operation like iOS and Android has.
