Question

Posted

I tried google and this forum, I found some topics but nothing complete.

My goal is to make a button where i can trigger several actions.

for example:

leave the house

- roller shutter close, temperature reduction, all lights off.

Programming in blocks is not the issue, but setting up a virtual device is.

1/ what should i enter in the IP address section? I assume the device IP

2/ same as above but regarding the port number

3/ what kind of code should i use to change a variable

all info regarding virtual devices is welcome.

Why create a virtual device?

If the hallway of the house is using a fibber dimmer you could activate scene activation in this dimmer.

This scene activation could then be used so eg. triple click on the button execute the actions

- Roller shutter close

- Temp Reduction

- All lights off

I would like to control the IPCAM over the virtual device. There are option for control directly in camera settings, but I would like to use other commands to activate recording etc.

When I enter this into browser "http://192.168.1.13:88/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveLeft&usr=XXX&pwd=XXX" with correct user ID and pswd, camera responds and move. When I use the same command within the virtual device, nothing will happen.

Is there any guideline how to send command over the virtual device to other IP controlable devices? I used also " get /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveLeft&usr=XXX&pwd=XXX" with propper IP and port in virtual device properties.

    Help is very appriacated. Thanx
