Question

Posted

Is it possible to use a function located in a scene and call this from VD or scene by sending some parameters?

I want to use a script to send a message.

I'd like the same, create a global function for pushover messages.

for now I just store the content of the msgs in a global variable and use a script to push it on change

That's actually a smart solution and is almost the same as I want it.

Hmmm Will have to do some coding tonight. =-)

good idea, you can actually try to put it in a notification. and just get these aswell. These will not be deleted after you save the changes in the global variable page

Doesn't matter for me after I send a message I will always change the value of the message back to 0, else when you try to send the same message it won't change the variable and so not trigger the Global pushover scene.

Well I meant putting the actual function(s) in the notification area (to stay on topic), and just reading out the "notification" and then store that in your scene as a var. Where you can then use the functions...

I did not mean putting the notifications in the notification area (although that would be normal
