You mean a separate VD using own code or to set the brightness only?

here is my VD. It is not perfect but... you need to change IP, your api user and light number in every button

This is the VDs i used to use:

Notice, that there is one for supporting groups. There is also a link to how you can group your hue bulbs together. This is a really great feature as you can then turn several lights on simultaneously - if you do that by trying to send commands to the individual lights, then they will turn on one by one, which I personally think looks rubish.

This video shows how my hue bulbs work in a group of three:

Works much better than individual lights.

I now use a different VD which can also control transition time. This is a really cool, but often not used feature, making it possible to control how fast the light changes state. I use this to turn off the lights in our hall over 3 minutes, it is completely seamless and can be adjusted from instant (instead of the quick fade which is standard) to very long (several hours). The best thing about it is, that it isn't persistent. So you can switch the light off over 2 minutes and then if you walk into the room again before the two minutes are up and you want it to turn on again instantly, you just make sure the scene modifies the transition time (i use an on slider and an off slider to provide two different transition times) to 0,4 seconds and it switches on like normal.

If it is of any interest, I can upload the VD? I'm considering building my own plugin to handle some more functionality than the standard plugin provides, but as I have no use of it (and have yet to upgrade to V4 as I don't trust the firmware yet) I'm not sure I am willing to spend the time on it.

That's what I'm talking about. If they only gave us plugins back people would program plugins that would boost the Fibaro platform. These integrated plugins are nice but basically nothing against what the community could do.

Problem is the longer you have to wait for that feature the more developers look elsewhere.

It would also mean Fibaro could focus on the system and not having to bother too much about plugins.

Dalle1985, I would like to see your VD. Later it can be possible to use Krikroffs virtual switches to turn it off as a light. Or you could even make a plugin out of it.
