All light just blinking on the HC2

Hi all

Did use my HC2 this morning with mobile app and it worked , but now when my wife i trying to use it its dead , no response

Did restart it but now all the light on the front is just flashing , no ping , webgui ....

Dead box ? return to seller ?

What does this blinking means ?

have you tried to restart it? If you can't restart with the power button just unplug it and start it again

Did restart two times, will try more when I'm home later.

The lights are blinking early in the boot phase. After a second or so it changes to a running-light sort of pattern. So, that is not looking good. You may be able to boot in recovery mode. It's on page 91 of the manual. If you haven't done already, I advice to mail support, like Liquidchild said. Possibly they'll ask you to attach a monitor so you can see where it's stuck.

Have send the support a email

But fibaro must know why all light blinks ... did read a post here that one user had the same problem and fibaro asked him to return the unit.

Will wait and see what fibaro says.

Yes. I was an early alpha tester and had to do that... When I attached a monitor, I had a black screen.

Let us know how you get along. There's always something to learn...

update:

no pic on vga ,

recovery lights stop after 5 sec

no ip

recovery does not work.

will be a return to seller tomorrow

Had the same problem and my box is actually on it's way to Poznan, Poland.

Am back on Homeseer HS3 for now.

When I read all the comments about the new 4.032 I'm kind of glad that my box crashed before i could upgrade to that version.

Homeseer is OK, if only it had a better UI and graphing of energy and temperaturers, I would probably stay and tell the guys in Poznan they could keep my box there as a paperweight.

Yes, of course you are right but I prefer to focus my attention to the functionality of the application, not the appearance.

Furthermore there are random dead nodes all over the place with HS3 also and lots of devices are not supported, several plugins are expensive and a pain in the ass to get to work...

I mean, I love Homeseer, I have used it for many years but functionally it's not better than HC2 with much the same problems as any Z-wave controller and environment.

So, if you are an addict of graphs of anything that happens in your house, like I am, your life is easier with HC2 then with HS3, unless you are prepared to spend countless hours to build everything from scratch yourself.

yes you are correct. out of the box hs3 look horrible

the last reason i use hc2 is the fact that there is a change a plugin will be made for mainlobby

then i have hc2 for zwave and mainlobby for the presentation on touchscreens, because that part of hc2 sucks bigtime
