Full set of LEDS on the box - no response via UI

Question

Posted

My HC2 has decided to no longer load up the Web UI fully - it sat on the spinning animation.

I then rebooted the box and now it flashes all the blue LEDs one at a time and eventually sites with all the LEDs on.

I tried unplugging, then plugging in and holding the recovery button whilst powering on and it seems to make no difference.

Tried the recovery static IP address too -- just in case it had switched over when holding down the buttons too long. No response.

The box doesn't respond to pinging its DHCP or static IP addresses (from the manual).

What do all the LEDs being on mean ? Is there a way to recover?

I've just booted the HC2 up whilst having a SVGA monitor plugged in to the socket on the box.

After loads of reboots with all the LEDs on, since plugging in the monitor i now don't get all the LEDs -- just the usual 3, when connected to the Internet.

It's now working with 4.032 firmware - i don't even remember pressing the upgrade button yet. I was on 4.019 this morning!

Yeah all up and functioning now with same config as it had before the black out.

    Very odd.

Whilst having the monitor connected I noticed errors about cron scheduler failing to start. Not sure if that's "by design".

Ah one other thing i Did do was unplug the Ethernet cable and boot up then reboot, then plug cable back in and reboot again.
