Hi ,

in my house I've many FGS221 for the lighting control.

All them have the same parameters /Associatons settings.

I' dont understand why only on 3 FGS221 , when I switch on a light (always Rele 1) using the wired switch , my FGRGBW 441M dimmer is turned ON too as it was an associated device.

I'm on 3.6 and my FGS221 modules group association is shown below.

Anyone can help?

I have the same problem , i have a wall plug connected to a lamp that turns on when the physical switch of the fgs222 is turned on with no associations, but through the app work normally.

Any ideas anyone as driving me crazy

I have a relay FGS-221 that turns on, apparently by itself. It's possible, but unlikely that it is 100% linked with another device. It happens a few times per week, sometimes a few times per day. I call it "the ghost in the machine". It's a FGS-221 and it was connected to the light in the garage. I say "was" because I have replaced it, and put the original in a test setup, on my desk. I can confirm the ghost is still there. The ghost never switches off the light, it only switches the relay on. And it's always O1, never O2. I think the issue was introduced around firmware 4.070 but that may be totally unrelated. I'm leaving that particular relay on my desk, until I find the problem.

I have a fibaro dimmer that turns a fibaro relay (FGS221) off and then back on when I press it despite to two not being associated. No idea why it is happening. "Ghost in the machine" is one explanation I suppose.

Lets expel the demon! From the number of posts I judge you have a lot of experience with Z-Wave. Please take no offense if I tell something that you already know. But maybe this is interesting for other users. Is this behavior repeatable? If it is... would you be so kind as to shut down your HC2 (clean shutdown = single click on power button + wait until LEDs off). Then try to provoke the same behavior. If it is repeatable, then it's a Z-Wave only thing, nothing to do with your HC. Direct association doesn't use your HC2. But if the problem disappears, it's the HC that sends the command to the relay.

If it's direct association, one thing to try is this. Go to the association panel of the sending device (the dimmer, not the relay). Add an association to the group that sends the on command (It's in the manual. For example, for FGD-211 S1 = group 1). For instance, add a wall plug. See if that works as expected. Then remove the wall plug. The reason I ask this, is because the HC will remove invalid (and maybe invisible) associations from the device, when you *change* the associations. So You have to add "something", save, test, then remove that "something".

I'm running 4.081 beta now, 4 days without ghost! I don't know if that's because an update was made to my configuration (by the upgrade process), or that 4.081 solves the issue. The difference may be of an academical nature... Or maybe there is some external cause, though I can't think of any. Please don't rush to install it, it's a beta and a few issues have been reported and acknowledged. If you're not used to testing Fibaro beta firmware versions, then please just wait a bit longer...
