Hi,

when I Switch a smoke sensor to constant powered mode, is it part of the mesh. does he relay the z-wave network?

    Yes, but only if you include it while it is on constant power.

    1. When including when on battery it will be a battery powered node.

    2. When including on constant power, it will behave as a routing node.

    3. When included with power and later be used with battery, it will be empty within days / hours.

    4. When included while on battery and later switched to constant power, it will still be a battery type node.

    Conclusion: When switching between power supply types you will always have to exclude / reset the device and include it again.

    Is it the same with other devices havig constant power as an option ? Such as AEON 4in1 ? - co if included running on battery and you connect it to constant power only later on it still behves as battery operated ?

    Depends on the implementation of the device. Not sure, but I think that the Aeon Labs 4 in 1 always behaves as a battery powered node.
