Wall switches not updating status - Help please

Dcd971

Question

Hi forum users,

I am having trouble to synch the status of my Leviton wall switches/dimmers with HC2. I can control them via HC2 without a problem and when I do so, HC2 status for that switch matches the real life on/off status. However when I locally switch on or off, I don't see the updated status in HC2. I am on 4.032.

Prior to Fibaro, I was on Leviton's own controller stick and then with Vera and I did not have this problem.

Any ideas why this might be happening and how I can synch the status between HC2 and the actual switch?

Here is a link to the switch/dimmer that I am using.

Thanks in advance...

Hi Sir,

I have the same issue as you too. Just that I'm using MK Astral Switches. Are all your switches without template?

Have you tried moving your HC2 as near as possible to your switches and try if the status update is more accurate?

I realize that the switches did send out the status just that Fibaro HC2 is not really receiving it well.

I've actually send a formal request for Fibaro to support me in these switches. Hope they can reply me real soon.

PS Fibaro support, help here!

  • Thanks for the post as it is nice to know I am not the only one.

Yes, there are no templates for any of these switches. HC2 proximity does not seem to be problem, because I have 40+ switches in the house, couple of which is only a feet away from HC2 and I have the same inconsistency regardless of the proximity.

I read somewhere that zwave remapping could help with this issue. I just kicked it off mesh remapping before leaving the house and will report out tonight if that helped with the situation.

Finally, yes Fibaro support, please help...

Dcd971, , were you talking about this?

Mesh network reconfiguration:Reconfigures mesh network by requesting device´s neighbors to update (˝RequestNodeNeighborUpdate˝). Note, reconfiguration may take some time depending on the size of the network. Reconfiguration of battery devices will start only after their wakeup.

Nowadays I no longer dare to reconfigure or reset anything on HC2 as I'm afraid any wrong step will cripple the system even further.
