I have a Satel system. For my needs, the intergration was very good in 3.600.

Response was very fast and reliable.

Now, the response to events in the Satel system is much slower in HC2.

What I mean is for example that when a pir detects motion, it takes about 1 or 2 seconds before the light in the room is switched on.

On top of this, events from Satel to HC2 stops completely after a day or two. A reboot is required to restore function.

    I'm on 4.032.

Hopefully Fibaro can fix these issues in next hotfix.

    have satel as well,

can't confirm delay increase between 3.600 and 4.032 as I've started my adventure with Fibaro HC2 v4.032 only but 1-2s delay exists indeed

as for events stopping from satel to HC2 I don't confirm that

my configuration ETHM-1 1.07 and HC2 4.032 has been working for like 10 days in a row (since I've bought HC2) with no problems

So regarding integration what can be done? Set? Unset? Trigger scenes when alarm is set etc?

You basically have access to all satel PIRs and window sensors (if installed of course) as well as to alarm zones. In theory you can arm and disarm satel from fibaro, but after couple failure attempts I gave up that idea.

I use PIRs for how water circulation - it starts only when movement is detected (PIR breached). Another nice feature is the "quick satel arm" that triggers "leaving home" fibaro scene to close all blinds, switch off the light and, in my case, enable fibaro PIR monitoring and push notifications if breached.

I am generally happy about satel + fibaro integration but I am still running 3.600 and will no upgrade until 4.x gets really stable and free of major bugs.

    David R,

You have all Satel Sensors, you can arm and disarm the partition, you can monitor Satel board with custom virtual outputs (Satel programming with DLoadX): AC, Battery failure, exit time etc...

Integration is very good and I am very satisfied with V3.600, but must improve on V4

Does the integration also work the other way around? Does the Satel Integra know about the Fibaro door en window sensors?

I do find some information about integration on this forum, but is there a manual? I need to create a fibaro partition on via DLoadX, but were is that documented?

I think there is only one direction integration - Fibaro can pull the data from Satel via ETHM-1 module.

Regarding manual - there are no manuals for Fibaro whatsoever so there is also no manual for Satel integration. You need to have time to play with it or have someone doing it for you. In general integration is quite easy (at least on 3.600, I do not use 4.x as of now) and should not take more than 5 minutes to load the data from Satel to Fibaro.

The Fibaro partition, even if exists on Satel, still is displayed as warning on Fibaro. I did not have this partition for quite some time and there was no impact on integration so not sure if that is even needed.

Ok, so any Fibaro door sensor I currently have installed cannot be used as a trigger to activate the Satel Integra alarm? That's really too bad, because the Fibaro door sensors have a better design than the Abax wireless stuff. And I cannot use wires everywhere.

You can try to connect FGBS OUT1 and OUT2 to some satel IN connectors and create a scene where Fibaro door sensor trigger it. This is only theory, i never try this solution. I don't have satel for now.

You must make an virtual ouput in satel that can be contolled by Fibaro , The second thing is to create a virtual zone in satel that follows the status off the output controlled by fibaro.

in fibaro you need two scenes , one to switch the output on when magnet fibaro is breached and one scene that switches the output to off when the fibaro doorsensor is safe.

You need no extra hardware only configuration.

Thank you for the clarification. Will try it soon.

As far as I understand it's only possible to create one virtual output in Satel which Fibaro can control. Or is it possible to have multiple virtual outputs, so Satel knows which sensor was activated? For example a sensor in the living room, bedroom.

I have several abax wireless sensors connected to the satel integra alarm system. They are all in a zone of type 'entry exit'. It is working fine, except for 1 thing. When the system is disarmed the keypad beeps 5 times everytime a sensor is breached. This behavior is correct when a zone is in test mode, but unfortunately it is always beeping. Anyone has any idea what could be wrong?

I think this may be an issue with Satel itself, are you sure configuration is done properly?

Indeed there was an issue with the satel alarm configuration. The keypad was set to make a sound (chime) whenever a sensor was breached.

I'm really happy with how things are running right now. Whenever a doorsensor is breached, the satel alarm is notified. The only thing right now is that the alarm system does not know which sensor was breached. Is it possible for the alarm to know the front door is open or the kitchen window is open, etc? And could it display that information on the keypad?
