How to add Aeon Labs Minimote to HC version 4.032

Since version 4.033 superseded 4.032 I decided to remove the instructions for the older version.

Thanks already been there done that.

I have 2 MiniMotes that I purchased at the same time, have the same brand new batteries and which added just fine in 4.032.

One of them has worked perfectly with scene activation and the other no matter how many ways or times I've attempted I can not get it to work!

thanks for that, as mentioned in PM it worked all ok. This minimote is so cool, so much possibilities. Thinking of buying a second one already

Excellent, worked for me. Though did have to wake up the remote (press learn for 3 secs) after setting the 250 parameter; Selecting the default parameter value in the template set it to 1.

Just went from v3.6 to 4.033 (never installed any beta, unless 4.033 counts as beta).

Previously my 2 Minimotes worked perfectly, but not after the upgrade.

Did try all the steps above, and then some more, but neither one of my motes will show the "zwaveSceneActivation" property, and as such no scene activiation will work.

 

I did as follows;

 

1/ Exclude from HC2 network
"Go to 'devices page', select "add or remove device", then at the bottom "delete device" and do a “Delete”
RESULT: Device successfully deleted.

 

2/ Reset Minimote

"Press and hold both the buttons labeled “Associate” and “Learn” for 10 seconds. The red LED will blink from slow to fast. The blue LEDs will stay solid for 2 seconds to indicate success.

RESULT: OK.

 

3/ Add Minimote to HC2

"Go to devices page, select “Add”. Option “Device is located far from the Home Center” checked. Press the button labeled “Learn” on the Minimote. Hold it less than 1 second.
The blue and red LEDs will blink quickly to indicate detection of the HC2. While this happens, press and hold “Learn” until you see “Device configuration finished” in green at the top status window, then release the “Learn” button"

RESULT: Added to network.

4/ Setting Parameter 250 to 1

"Select the "default" parameter value in the template (the bottom option), save, then wake up the remote (press learn for 3 secs). It will say 'Routing table update'"

Then 'save' the device to force Parameter 250 upload

RESULT: Parameter 250 set to 1.

Naturally verified the above with fibaro:debug(fibaro:getValue(9999, "sceneActivation")), but it always returned NIL.

Maybe this worked in 4.032, but (at least not for me) not in 4.033.

Sad as the Minomote is really an nifty little bugger.

Thank you for your testing and your feedback. I'll check the procedure on 4.033. My minimotes survived the upgrade, but I wouldn't be surprised that the procedure to add them has changed. Give me some time to test it

worked for me under 4.033, just needed to long press learn after parameter 250 was reported as set to 1, after the routing table update it now works.

Thanks for the info, invaluable to me as i'd blown hours previously following the versternet procedure
