Help with lua code

Hi all,

I'm new to Fibaro and I'm not a coder, on top of this I no nothing about lua. However I have searched the forums/web trying to find a solution for sending the value of one of my temperature sensors to my old external automation controller variable number 242. Below is the code I cobbled together (I have to say I don't totally understand the code).

When the code is run it returns the following error -

[ERROR] 09:42:43: line 10: unexpected symbol near '242'

Can some help with debugging this please?

No still no good. However this code works -

It updates variable 242 with the temperature ok and actions a macro on my remote controller with ID 251. If I remove the macro part of the syntax I get the errors. How do I remove the macro part of this code?

This also works -

local postdata = "Var 242 : " .. temp1 .. "=="

Not sure what the "==" is for though? If anyone can explain that would be appreciated.
