iTach Flex Wifi becomes unresponsive

Question

Posted

Hello,

I am using 4 iTach Flex Wifi with HC2. The problem is after some time of using suddenly all the iTachs stops responding from the Fibaro interface. I have to restart the HC2, wait for an hour or two and then it starts working again for about ten minutes. This whole procedure keeps repeating.

I have been facing this issue since 3.590 firmware. Now i am on 4.032 and still the same problem persists.

How can this be resolved?

Wish I could say the same BUT for once this is one thing that is rock solid on my system! But I opted for the wired version not WIFI!

Sorry but I can say if you decided to go wired (it is worth it)

Are you sure it's HC2 related? Can you access the itach from browser using the IP? Can it be a IP conflict?

May I ask if you are using the built in IP communication of HC2, or using LUA code?

Reason for asking: I have found the exact same thing, and moving to pure LUA http code seems to work more often - however there still seems to be some sort of error happening, just no as often...

Unfortunately there was no scope for cat6 cabling.

Yes I can access it from the browser. The issue is that when one itach stops working, simultaneously all of them stop working. I don't know if it could be a network related issue, I am using wired wifi repeaters in the bedrooms and the HC2 is getting the internet from the main router. The main router and the wired wifi repeaters have the same SSID. Don't know if that's the trouble maker.

I am an absolute beginner to LUA. Can us share your script so I can try it on my system?

I have problem with itach flex wifi2ir and I cpntacted global cache customer service because it happens always when the led on itach get solid green.

They say it is firmware problem and they are working on it.

Check if the led is blinking when it fets stuck. If it os solid, only restart itach.

Well as some have said and someone checked with GC.

This is not a hc2 issue, it's the flex.

I have used GC WifiToIr (not flex) since we could LUA permitting, and it's worked 100% since on multiple systems with everyday use.
