Scenes and Debug output

Question

Posted

I have a scene (below) that uses fibaro:debug();

some of the fired events are happening, some aren't.

When I view the scene the debug window is empty unless I press 'Start'

Is there not somewhere where I can see the debug output? If not, how do I find out if the problem is that the event was fired but the receiving device didn't act on it or that there was some other problem and the scene didn't actually fire the event?

Maybe this? fibaro:log()

Edit... Don't know why but I assumed you wanted a solution for virtual devices... But you don't.

    Thanks for taking the time to reply.

    I don't think that'd do it. Firstly it's a temporary message that flashes up on the device as opposed to stored permanently somewhere. Secondly, it specifically says it can't be used in scenes.

    OMG! I read "virtual device" - I really shouldn't be drinking that much.

    What I use in scenes is mail to myself

    fibaro:call(userID, 'sendEmail', "subject", "body")
