I would like to use the Fibaro dimmer switch in combination with a physical switch with a neutral. So when the switch in at rest, it's in neutral and when pushing the switch at one end it will switch the dimmer on, pushing the other direction will switch it off again.

I can find lots of pulse switches but no one with a neutral. Does anyone have a direction were to buy a switch like that (preferably in the Netherlands)??

many thanks,

emiel

I see you got no answer so I'll give some personal opinion: I use the Fibaro Dimmer with double pushbutton from niko (products mainly for Belgium market). Although I wanted to try this up-neutral-down switch myself but I found no suitable device...

You then have S1 to switch on/off and dim up/down. The dimming action is activated by long-press and changes direction each time.

You can use S2 to do "sceneActivation" on your HC2 (it is described in the manual) - so with some lua code you can do basically anything with S2. Functionality HC2 only, not HCL at the moment (requires to be released firmware update). You could use associations but it is more limited and I think there's still an issue with it known as the "tripple click problem". So I say "sceneActivation" would be best...

I kept on asking Google for advice and at some point I got a Jung On-Off-On switch delivered, with neutral! So there's on out there!

I'll try it this weekend on a Fibaro dimmer, but that shouldn't be a real problem

I think this switch is the most user-friendly (i.e.: wife&kids friendly) switch to use with the fiber dimmer module.

    cheers

Dear EmielStroeve, can you please tell the Jung partnumber for this switch?

I am looking for the same solution as long as the switch returns in the neutral position when not pushing it...

    Hi Patrick,

of course: it's the Jung 531 41U available via klusspullen.nl

I'll try it this weekend on a dimmer.

    *edit*:

if you set parameter 14 to Roller Blind Switch (UP and Down) than the ON-Neutral-ON switch will switch ON when tapping 1 switch, keep pushed in and it will dimm up, push the other ON of the switch and it will switch off or dimm down when held down.

Now let's see if the wife and kids can handle this

    Hi Emiel,

Thanks. I think that this way of dimmercontrol is more intuitive for the rest of the family. I will order one this weekend and give in a try. Thanks again.
