Question

I must wait for about 20 to 30 seconds with this message before i can use fibaro app.... This makes me completely mad while i'm waiting in front of my house to be able to open my garage door.

What's going on? I already asked the support by mail. They said they talked about the problem with the dev team. I'm now waiting for monthes..

I'm really disappointed about Fibaro. As the support does not help... Just tell me please if you care or not, if you work on this problem or not.... Must i sell my hc2 box or is there a hope ?

I don't know anymore who to contact........

Edit : and does anyone here have been able to have the gps feature work on an iPhone? Trying to make this feature work from the start of this nightmare adventure with my hc2

I just discuss in private with another user of the forum (pertergebrues). I would like to continue this discussion here as it is really interesting.

First of all, thanks, Peter, for the time he spent on this. Using an Edge connection (for the test), he can load the app in 11 seconds. If he uses a new user without giving any right (no module or scene), the app launches in 7 seconds. So, less modules, less time to launch.

My provider is Orange in France. It's probably the best even if geek guys are often discussing about that

I just tried speedtest app on my iPhone (at work) using 3G. At my work office, i have 11,83Mbps download and 2.64 upload, a 65 ms ping. Websites, apps ... are loading (with internet data) very fast.

I launched Fibaro app. After 37 seconds i have a connection error. I then tried to refresh. After more than 30 seconds, i now have the home screen.

Using the same 3G connection, i connect with Safari to my hc2 directly, without using the remote access (using noip and nat opened port), and it loads in 2 seconds. For me, the number of modules does not make any difference.

    The differences are :

the client : mobile app on the slow side, Safari and HC2 interface on the fast side.

the proxy : remote access thru the proxy on the slow side, direct access on the fast side.

The proxy is probably the problem. Why Fibaro is using this proxy in Poland. I DO WANT A DIRECT AND SECURE ACCESS TO MY HC2.

    My HC2 configuration : 4.033 HC2, latest iOS app, 76 modules, 19 scenes and 13 rooms.

If you have a static ip adress on your WAN connection, you can make a port redirection to your HC2.

It´s way faster - but unsecure (uncrypted transmission of your login data).

Loading time (cold start) < 5 sec. @ 3G on my iPhone

(PS. Sry for my bad english :/  )

Thanks hocksen for your response. I did that when i tried to analyse this problem. As you say, it resolves the problem and cannot be used because of security lack. I can get into my house when opening my garage door. Security is important to me.

I've put a new entry in the bug tracker. We'll see what the dev team can do :

As i think it is a software architecture problem... I'm not optimistic. But i may be wrong.
