HC2: Z-Wave LED flash without stopping

Question

Posted

Hi,

Before contacting support Fibaro, someone had this problem: Z-Wave LED does not stop flashing ?

Please login or register to see this link.

.

All the Z-Wave network is very slow: 10s to light a lamp.

Do you have a solution?

Thanks.

I assume you have tried reseting HC2, or haven't you?

Yes, i reboot the box several times.

I tried the box in my office (without Z-Wave module) and I do not have such flashing. I gather that this may be just a faulty module.

It is possible that a faulty module can cause this problem?

Long time ago under V3 I had a device that was configured (by software error) with a very short wake-up time (thing 1 or 4 seconds instead of 4000). I think it was a door/window sensor. Anyway, I removed power from my devices one by one until the led stopped. Then I tried to exclude it but if I remember well it wouldn't work. So probably I followed the reset procedure in the manual and deleted the device with the X mark. The problem did not return (i.e. the device was not faulty, it was a fluke that happened at inclusion time).

The problem is solved: a ZS5101 (shock sensor).
I removed the batteries and no more flash
. This detector was the last that I removed the batteries (Murphy's law).

I tested this detector and it works again without problems. Why?
