Hi,

Has anyone tried current sensing using Fibaro modules (universal sensor, door/window sensor)

What do you mean by current sensing? Both those are switches. If you're interested in current sensing wouldn't the RGBW module be more suitable?

By using a current sensor to check if current is passing through the equipment/wire.

Can you point us tot the manual of the current sensing device that you have in mind? The RGBW module has 4 inputs (not isolated!) that can measure a voltage between 0 and 10V (but only with v3 firmware at the moment). It is not a true voltmeter, it has a low input resistance (if I remember well around a few kohm) compared to a DMM. If "equipment" means household appliance, you can use a Fibaro Wall Plug, it measures power with a few Watts resolution.

It's still unclear. If you need to know if it's running or not then you can interface with a UBS or another switch input device with the appropriate input interface. If it's measuring the current in any way then you need the RGBW device
