when flood sensor is connected via DC, i get the Message flood sensor - low battery level... (whether i insert a Battery after inclusion or not). I tried different DC Adapters (12 to 24 Volt) - no differences. Any Ideas?

In battery mode, all works fine...

I've just checked that... you need to exclude and include the device (when switching from external supply to battery and vice versa). This is also true for other "dual supply" devices like an Aeon MultiSensor.

It's not in the manual.

Also, specifically for this device, it's possible to have both sources (this hint is in the manual):

"Alternatively, the Sensor may be powered by VDC power source (12 / 24 VDC in accordance with a wiring diagram no.2) - in such a configuration, a battery will serve as an emergency power supply."

Not all devices accept external and battery at the same time...

Also beware that the flood sensor switches to a "mains power" type of device (radio always on) so you need anything between 10 and 40 mA on 12V without active alarm and I guess this complete switch in behavior explains why you need something as drastic as exclude & include.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
